The White House Historical Association has unveiled its 2025 Official Christmas Ornament, marking the 150th anniversary of state dinners at the Executive Mansion. The ornament is crafted from brass with a 24-karat gold finish, and features two iconic china plates: the red-bordered Reagan State China Service on the front, and the gold-rimmed Clinton service with a gilded White House at the center on the back.
Its design is surrounded by festive holly and snowflakes, and the piece hangs from a red-and-gold twist cord. Each ornament comes in a keepsake box, accompanied by an educational booklet that dives into the history of White House State China Services and the role of culinary diplomacy.
Money raised from ornament sales helps support the mission of the White House Historical Association: preserving the history and heritage of the Executive Mansion. The Annual White House Christmas Ornament program has existed since 1981, and each year’s design tells a story—either celebrating a president, a historical event, or a tradition of the White House. For 2025, the shift away from featuring a specific president is notable—the focus is on the institution and tradition of the State Dinner itself.
The ornament is available through several channels:
From the White House Historical Association’s online store for $24.95 and other retailers, such as the Home Depot, which lists the same ornament for $24.98.
