The Cat in the Box Gingerbread Cat Playhouse and Cat Christmas Stocking with Toys
The awesome team at Cat in the Box have created two wonderful Christmas-themed products that cats absolutely adore. And if you don’t have a cat, any cat guardian in your life would love to receive these for their beloved kitty as a holiday gift. There’s the Cat Christmas Stocking with Toys that displays a black cat wearing a Santa cap and gazing at the Bethlehem star from a snowbank. The body of the stocking is felt, the cuff is shearling, and the loop is red velour.Included in the set are three toys: a crinkly maple leaf (red on one side, orange on the other) made of felt, an adorable felt fortune cookie with a fortune that reads, “Santa says you’ve been nice,” and a fish made of red holiday fleece fabric with ribbons. One of the ribbons is stamped with a holiday message, “Meowy Christmas.”
Cat in the Box’s Gingerbread Cat Playhouse is an absolute cat favorite (just look at their instagram site for all the proof you need!!!). The house comes with a packet of candy stickers making this a fun project for more than one person.

Susan Soaps & More Peppermint Hand Spritzer
While the soaps at Susan Soaps are wonderfully enticing and thoughtfully crafted by its owner (Susan, of course), it’s the Peppermint Hand Spritzer that is my go-to product. WOW! In this COVID era we live in now, I think I’ve tried every germ fighting product out there and this one is BY FAR the best. Not only does its peppermint smell remind me of Christmas (winner!) it doesn’t sit on your hands like a yucky blob of goo.
Formulated with over 90% Isopropyl alcohol, it goes on nicely and quickly evaporates leaving only the wonderful holiday-esque smell of peppermint behind. And because it contains a touch of glycerin, your skin feels great afterwards. Not gooey and not too dry. I also love the aluminum spray bottle, which is convenient to take anywhere, applies easily, and contains no synthetic fragrances.
How can I buy this!
This is an absolute winner for the holidays, or any time of year and makes for a great gift or stocking stuffer.
You can purchase the peppermint spritzer here for $22 a bottle. And while you’re there, check out all their wonderful products!

Yule Never Guess
Me and my family have been having a blast playing a Christmas-themed trivia game from developer Doron Krinetz called “Yule Never Guess.” The game is simple to play but loads of fun. There are six trivia categories related to Christmas: entertainment, history, movies, music, stories, and traditions.
You can play in teams or individually. Once a question is read out loud from a card pulled from the deck, it’s a race to see who answers first. The winner gets the card, which counts as one point. If it’s a tie, an old-fashioned game of rock, paper, scissors determines who wins the card. Some cards come with bonus questions worth five points, but there’s a twist—only the person or team who answered the original question correctly gets a shot at the bonus question. The game ends when someone reaches the agreed-upon point total, and they’re declared the winner.
But this game is so much fun that anyone who plays is a winner. No doubt this could become a permanent fun family tradition every holiday season. And for those who run through all the questions, Doron has developed an expansion pack this year with even more Christmas questions.
As a bonus, you can read my interview with Doron about how he came up with the idea for this Christmas game as well as well as what inspired him to develop a Hanukkah-themed game.

Lego Winter Village Collection
LEGO® has come a long way from my youth when the only options you had were an assortment of colored blocks in a couple of different shapes and sizes. Today, LEGOs come in an endless variety of configurations from Star Wars ships to winter scenes. It’s the latter that, in my Christmas-biased view, has been its most amazing offering: the ever-expanding LEGO Winter Village collection.
It was an instant hit with LEGO fans when it debuted in 2009 and the company keeps adding a significant piece to the collection every year. From festive trains and gingerbread houses to winter markets and snow-covered workshops, the LEGO Winter Village has built a huge seasonal collection of awesome holiday and winter offerings, including this year’s Santa Post Office building set.
The snow-topped post office includes Santa’s study, complete with a log fire, a postal sorting area, an entrance hall with a coffee machine and a second-floor writing area with a letter chute. And there’s plenty on the outside too, with a hot-air balloon with an illuminating burner, a letter sorter, an ice-fishing scene, signpost, mailbox and sled, and – of course – a Christmas tree. Also included in the set are a Santa mini figure and four elf figures.

The new set goes for $99.99 and can be purchased at LEGO online or whereever great LEGO products are sold.

The Original Parks of the USA Bucket List Bottle
From the good folks at Wondery Outdoors comes a unique water bottle for those trying to check off all the U.S. national parks, U.S. states, or best beaches on their bucket list. Each bottle and theme you select comes with a full set of stickers to peel and put on the bottle once you’ve checked that location off your list. And it’s refreshing too as, of course, a water bottle!
As someone who’s trying to see all the U.S. national parks (only 17 out of 63 to go!), I can really appreciate how much fun this would be to mark off your national park milestones as well as what a fun conversation starter it would be while traveling and hiking through the parks while replenishing your thirst.

Prices range from $13.80 to $58 dollars, depending on the bottle.

Williams Sonoma Elf advent calendar
As a HUGE fan of advent calendars, and the movie Elf (see our latest mini movie and soundtrack review of Elf by clicking here), I was excited to see the Elf advent calendar from Williams Sonoma. It includes an Elf inspired design and a variety of surprises when you count down each day until Christmas.
You might just find yourself with twist-wrapped caramels, peppermint taffy, holiday candy corn, or even Elf maple syrup. Just sayin 🙂

Hallmark Retro Christmas Decor
For our ninth gift selection, I couldn’t just single out one or two items for this pick. I’m referring to the awesome Hallmark Vintage Christmas collection, which has too many fun finds to just pick one. From the holiday happy tappers musical figurines with motion to the kissing Clauses to the Santa and Christmas Tree Sculpted Cookie Jar (see image at right!), everyone looking for retro decor will find what they’re looking for in the Hallmark Vintage section.
What I love about this section is the sheer variety of items available. They’ve got retro money holders, vintage style ornaments, retro Christmas cards, and even retro wrapping paper. For someone who grew up in the 1960s and 1970s, this section on the Hallmark website just brings a smile to my face.

Caskata™ PerfecTemp® 1.7-Liter Cordless Programmable Kettle
My wife and I recently purchased this amazing programmable tea kettle from Cuisinart because of the whimsical design on the outside (it’s an octopus!). But the real not-so-secret news here is that it’s a fantastic tea kettle! It’s easy to use and has a multitude of programmable features. It also heats up quickly and then holds that heat for half an hour before automatically shutting off (an awesome feature). We love it!!
And for those who are passionate about French Press coffee, this is a perfect option with its French Press preset feature. The unit itself has a 1.7 liter capacity, six preset temperatures, one-touch controls with blue LED indicators, and you can lift it off its base making it a wireless kettle with its stay-cool nonslip handle. All fantastic features!
