I hear this question all the time: what happens to all the unsold Christmas trees? According to an article published by USA Today, most Christmas trees are converted to mulch, which is often resold on the market. And for those that end up in homes, businesses and other holiday celebrations, there are options other than putting them on the curb for trash pickup.
According to the article, these range the gamut from using them for mulch in parks, to depositing them in ponds to habitat for fish to combating beach erosion.
